Description

This calculator estimates the G-level \( N_z \), turn radius \( R \), and yaw rate \( r \) from a helicopter's speed \( v \) and bank angle \( \phi \) in a coordinated turn.

Equations

The following equations are used to estimate the values.

\[ N_z = 1/\cos\phi \] \[ R = \frac{v^2}{G\tan\phi} \] \[ r = \frac{v}{R} \]
